Treatment proceeds in several stages:

1. Diagnosis – in the first stage it is necessary to take, for example, panoramic X-rays, CT scans, digital images and impressions of the jaw, whch are necessary to make accurate diagnostic models;
2. Planning – the doctor makes a computer model of the dentition. Such a digital model is created using a 3D scanner and a special computer program. This allows the patient to see the effect of the treatment even before it begins;
3. treatment – treatment consists in wearing trays specially prepared for the patient. Importantly, he can replace them himself every 1-2 weeks. It is important to remember to wear the overlays about 22 hours a day. The patient should take them off only for meals and teeth cleaning;

5. retention – this stage is necessary to prevent uncontrolled shifting of teeth once the treatment is over. In this case, retention trays are as comfortable and invisible as the braces themselves.

The price is influenced by such factors as the severity of the malocclusion, for example, or the number of trays that the patient will need throughout the treatment period. There are situations in which the price of braces is not so different from the standard solutions used in orthodontics. It all depends on the individual needs of the patient.

Treatment time with Invisalign overlays varies from patient to patient and depends on the complexity of the defect and how often the patient replaces the overlays. Before the treatment process begins, the orthodontist establishes a treatment plan. It is a good idea to discuss the entire process in detail with the orthodontist at the consultation, so that the best option for the patient can be selected. On average, treatment with Invisalign trays lasts about 18 months.
